Minerve : former Cathar stronghold perched on a promontory (30 mins)

Towns of character

Béziers : ancient city with Roman amphitheatre, cathedral, Paul Riquet alleys and the Canal du Midi. Its market halls are the most beautiful in France (30 min)

Narbonne : formerly a port, it is home to the famous Via Domitia (20 minutes away).

Pézenas : the former town of Molière, it is home to many artisans nestled in charming cobbled streets (45 mins)

Canal du Midi : bike ride or boat trip between Béziers, Capestang, and Castelnaudary (10 minutes)
